With a new album on the horizon in 2017, the riff-laden band are strongly rumoured to headline Reading & Leeds 2017. After their Glastonbury headline set in 2014 and home-coming gigs in 2015, the four piece have seen themselves become one of the most revered live artists in the business.
INHEAVEN
With sounds reminiscing of 90’s grunge, south-Londoners INHEAVEN are an exciting prospect. Currently supporting Blossoms on their sold out tour around the UK, the 90’s sounding 4 piece have been taking crowds by storm with their ferocious riffs and big sounding melodies. The band have recently announced their own tour which will see the four piece debut new songs across the UK. One of their biggest admirers is none other than Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas!
Peace
Birmingham indie rock band Peace are expected to release their 3rd studio album in 2017. The band earned themselves a place in the hearts of music enthusiasts with an escapism themed debut record titled ‘In Love’. Since then it’s been a blossoming love affair with fans, the band supported the Courteeners at Heaton park, which helped the band’s popularity has rocketed with indie lovers ever since, so much so that their last tour was a complete sell out.
Royal Blood
A huge year awaits the rock duo. It has been confirmed by frontman Mike Kerr that he and drummer Ben Thatcher are writing material for follow-up album. The enigmatic band have went platinum on their self-titled debut album which took 2014 by storm. A lot of anticipation has grown over the new album. Such was the popularity of the debut album, the band was thrust into the lofty heights of festival lineups and saw the record chart at number 1. If all these accomplishments weren’t already enough to boast about, the lads from Brighton also went on to support Foo Fighters on their sold out tour of the UK.
Wolf Alice
Alternative rockers Wolf Alice have enjoyed a meteoric rise in popularity and success. Originating from North London, Ellie Rowsell and co. have seen themselves become festival favourites. Their set at Reading & Leeds 2015 cemented their title as an exhilarating indie act and a must see. Their debut album titled ‘My Love is Cool’ was nominated for the mercury prize in 2015. ‘Moaning Lisa Smile’, ‘Blush’ and ‘Giant Peach’ have all become festival hits which sends crowds delirious. The band have confirmed their intentions to record a new album in 2017. A massive step forward for a band that only consisted of 2 members 4 years ago.
