The Killers have been announced as the sixth and final headliner for this year’s Hyde Park festival in London.
The Las Vegas quartet will headline the event on Saturday 8 July, in their only UK festival appearance of the summer. It has been four years since their last album, ‘Battle Born’, and it has been reported that the band have begun working on their fifth studio album, which should be out before festival season arrives.
The Killers too the UK by storm with their sensational 2004 debut, “Hot Fuss”. The record went on to become one of the decade’s biggest selling albums and has since been hailed as one of the greatest debut albums of all time by Rolling Stone magazine. Every record the band has released has went on to conquer the UK charts.
Elbow and White Lies will also be on the bill, however the most fascinating name on the line-up is the return to the London stage of Tears for Fears, playing their first show in the capital for 12 years.
