Next Tuesday sees the second instalment of In The Mix at Station East. The quaint bar sits just across the Tyne Bridge in Gateshead and is home to an incredible little performance area fashioned inside a railway arch. The stone walls and dim lighting create an almost medieval atmosphere, with amazing acoustics perfect for showcasing some local musical talent.
This month’s line-up includes 3 very talented acoustic singer-song writers as well as a contemporary folk four piece rounding off the night!
Holly Rees brings her own brand of authenticity and originality with her impressive song writing skills! With her debut EP ‘Ilex’ on the way next month, this young musician is one to keep an eye on.
Fresh off the back of the release of his debut single ‘I Don’t Wanna Wake Up‘ and with a performance at the O2 Academy on the horizon next month, things look to be on the up for Anthony Vacher. Take the opportunity to catch him and his catchy ukulele tunes at this intimate venue next week!
Doozy Rowlands tops off the trio of young singer songwriters performing on the night, self taught and full of talent, music has played a massive part in Doozy’s life, helping him through tough times when he was made homeless at the age of 16. Check out our Q&A with Doozy to find out more.
The Violet Bunnies
Describing themselves as a “contemporary folk and Americana quartet”, The Violet Bunnies are sure to switch up the energy of the night and get you on your feet. With original takes on well known popular music and smooth harmonies, this four piece will bring a fantastic night of live music to an end with flair!
