Darlington is continuing to make its voice heard in the North East music scene, after the announcement of a brand new festival that looks to showcase the best local music and comedy talent: Last Train Home festival.
The multi-venue event has announced it’s first wave of artists and comedians that will be descending on Darlo this coming September; including the likes of Rex Regis, Endem, Jister, and Shakk.
“The inspiration behind LTH was to bring some of the best talent, of various genres, in the UK/North-East and showcase it alongside some of Darlington’s best acts,” said organiser David Saunders.
“It was also to celebrate the town’s culture/heritage and take advantage of its insanely good transport links, which are an asset to any event.
“Darlo is my hometown and it’s brimming with talent and creative minds, I think sometimes it undersells itself and we’re hoping this festival will change its complexion.”
The second wave of artists and comedians performing at LTH is expected to be announced in the next couple of weeks.
