Newcastle trap-metal boys RONINCLAN are back… with a collab! “DEVIL’S DEN” sees Shoshin Noel and Lxngcat of RONINCLAN team up with Newcastle metalcore 5-piece October Ends and Greek musician ArVA. The collab is a seamless one, as the RONIN lads’ sound already draws heavily from metalcore, so the addition of October Ends just means that side of things is turned up to the extreme.
There is a slightly more bizarre tale behind this track though. You’ll notice the addition of ‘(Remix)’ in the title, that’s because both a ‘rock’ version, featuring October Ends and ArVA, and a ‘rap’ version, featuring RONINCLAN, October Ends and ArVA, were both released on the same day. Bit of a left-field concept, but a cool one nonetheless.
The story doesn’t end there. You’ll notice both tracks feature ArVA, and through some sketchy research (we searched his name on YouTube), we found out that he not only lent his smooth vocals to both tracks, he’s also the bassist in October Ends and a relatively big deal in the Greek YouTube sphere. So, he’s featured as an additional artist in two songs that he already played a part in on bass anyway… we’re not 100% why. We’re figuring having his name in the title potentially helps with Greek YouTube clout? Who knows? Either way, we have a lot to thank him for, bringing these two sick acts together.
