The man behind one of Newcastle’s newest hip-hop showcase nights ‘P.V.O’, in the last 12 months Kush-T has made a name for himself as an artist that wants to push the region’s scene forward. Working hard to promote events and push other artists before himself, Kush’s musical output has been scarce. His frequent Instagram freestyles and show-stopping performances at P.V.O and other events have left the community wanting more from Kush.
His new single “onaTrip”, produced by Freddy, is a massive one in the story of Kush-T, as it’s the first single from his forthcoming debut EP! Kush’s cadence on this track is reminiscent of North East veteran Ken Masters, which makes sense as both are on independent label Northentic Records. Kush’s flow is smooth and his delivery stoney, “onaTrip” is cold. We’re big fans of this track, Kush’s raw talent shines through with each line as polished as the next – the sooner his EP comes the better!
Rapper, promoter and all-around advocate for the scene, Kush-T has both ability and credibility in spades – without a doubt one of the most underrated rappers in the region.
