Jonny Flip is a forward thinking American artist that blends hip-hop, rock and pop to create his own unique bouncy trap style.
His latest single “Karma”, produced by bye4now and yungspoiler, encapsulates that experimental style. It’s unashamedly pop trap with a dark edge. The track harks back to MySpace ‘scene-era’ artists like The Medic Droid and 3OH!3 with it’s chaotic in your face attitude and campness in equal amounts.
But at the same time there’s a modern hyper-pop meets emo-trap vibe on this track too with the way Jonny delivers his lyrics – going from melodic crooning to melodic rapping on a intoxicatingly bass filled beat.
