Album Review: ‘Out in the Trees’ – Chiron Loxton

Chiron Loxton

‘Out in the Trees’ is the brand new self-reflective album project from fast rising Somerset rapper Chiron Loxton.

Inspired by the consolation found in nature over the lockdown period, ‘Out in the Trees’ focuses on different aspects of the human condition. The whole 16 track project is the result of Chiron taking time to focus on both his songwriting and mental health.

Chiron Loxton cites American rapper NF and the book/film ‘Into The Wild’ as key influences for this album. With the help of his Soul Insights Crew, Chiron Loxton has created a music video for all 16 tracks on the album, with each video featuring different beauty spots around the South West.

I would like to display to my audience how reflective this has made me become and to appreciate my own self worth.” said Chiron Loxton, who displays a tremendous level of growth and maturity in this new album.

Chiron really opens up on this project, leaving it all in the booth and taking us on a rollercoaster of introspective emotions. It’s an incredibly endearing listen start to finish, making you really feel like you’ve gotten to know Chiron as a person come the end. It’s not every artist that can bring the listener into their world as much as Chiron has on this album.

Chiron Loxton has really levelled up on this album. This local hero will one day soon be turning heads nationally. Mark our words!
