Album Review: ‘Moment in Time’ – Ziyaad Luceō

Ziyaad Luceō

Ziyaad Luceō is one of Canada’s fastest rising up and coming artists and he’s just released his hugely anticipated sophomore album Moment In Time! Will it live up to the hype? Let’s find out…

Representing Outlier Entertainment, a Toronto based record label and collective, Ziyaad is looking to take his career, and his collective, to the next level with this release!

The album kicks off with Ziyaad’s super smooth vocals welcoming you into a world of tranquility on Be At Peace, Not In Pieces. This track starts the 11 track album off as Ziyaad means to go on.

Combining neo-soul and beautiful r’n’b tones, Ziyaad comes like cleaner cut The Weekend meets Marvins Room Drake throughout this project. Each track is slicker than the next, loaded with an underlying current of hedonistic rap attitude, especially on IDGAF – one of the stand out instant hits of the album.

The other clear highlight on the album is the closer, the album’s namesake track Moment In Time. In encapsulates the whole project perfectly, focusing on capturing these small moments of beauty that we all experience throughout or lives. And how, in reality, our lives are but a moment in time.

Ziyaad’s incredible lyricism and enchanting voice covey this heartfelt message with real sonic beauty.

Moment In Time is an emotional rollercoaster and a real work of art by Ziyaad Luceō. This album is no doubt going to propel him to even greater heights in 2022 and we can’t wait to see where his career goes next!
