Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls… we’ve finally found it. THE (self-proclaimed) GREATEST RAP ALBUM EVER. You read that right, New Jersey, USA native KiERAN has challenged himself to create the best tape of all time in ‘FiRECROTCH’.
And before you ask, no, I’m not really sure why he’s called it FiRECROTCH either. It’s a pretty funny name tho…
You might have guessed this is a comedy rap album… but honestly, that doesn’t mean the music isn’t any good. In fact, it’s actually pretty decent. KiERAN can actually spit!
If I had to compare KiERAN to anyone, trust me it’s not easy, he’s a very unique artist. But, if I had to, think Lil Dicky but ginger and more flammable. What I’m trying to say is, he’s actually got both comedy and rap skills – both are on show on this tape!
“WOW” has to be one of the most hilarious tracks on this 12 track project. Sampling the classic Owen Wilson “wow”, this track is just ridiculously great in so many ways. KiERAN goes off at 100mph on the verses, spitting frantically without any air, before droping a mind meltingly voice modulated hook. It’s crazy. But it’s sort of genius at the same time. Sort of.
“iSAID IT, iMEANT IT” is KiERAN’s serious as rap track. The first bars are “pump, pump, pump, no CPR”. He couldn’t do it. It’s a 59 second interlude. But it’s also pure comedy gold.
Honestly, if you’re a fan of rap and enjoy a good old fashioned laugh, then ‘FiRECROTCH’ is the project for you. KiERAN subtly pokes fun at the absurdity of the rap game across this whole project, highlighting how dumb some of the most serious rappers in the game can sound whilst flexing his own rap ability. I love this shit.
