Fast rising spitter MATTE returns alongside dynamic reggae artist C Block Muzic with huge track Power to see out the summer.
Powered by an addictive instrumental that fuses afrobeat sounds with a gritty UK flavour, Power has the potential to be a dance floor anthem for many hot summer nights to come.
Not only is Power a track you can dance to, MATTE also uses the track as an opportunity to give you an insight into his life with some really hard hitting bars.
Matte reflects on the obstacle and struggles he’s faced throughout his life and how they made him stronger, whilst calming marimba sounds keep the warm vibes going throughout the track. ‘I was in the darkness for ages, until I heard a voice saying start making changes,’ Mark spits over the hypnotic melody.
Speaking about the track, MATTE said “This track by myself features a highly diverse reggae artist by the name of C Block Muzic. The theme is very much about overcoming obstacles in life and stepping back into our divine nature. Power is specifically targeted toward the goal of uplifting, empowering and motivating the listener to go within and draw out their own personal power.”
Cblock Muzic comes in on the hook with some absolutely sublime melodic vocals that instantly transport you off to a beach somewhere, in a state of total relaxation.
In fact, it was MATTE’s friendship with Cblock Muzic that inspired him to step behind the mic once again and now he’s working on a brand new body of work, due for release later this year.
